The Pekingese breed is very fond of many things there are also things the Pekingese breed does not like Here are some examples of some of both that some owners have discovered their Pekingese likes.

Some example of the things owners have found their Pekingese likes. For the most part Pekingese do like to go for walks. They like to see what is outside their own yards, and see new faces and go new places. Pekingese love to play, they like to play with toys, other dogs, people it does not matter they are playful active creatures.

Pekingese love to lay on their owners the closer they are the better they will often lie on the owners lap, chest, belly, or back of their owners. Pekingese also love grooming time this is a time they get to be pampered. The brush lightly scratches and massages the body so the little Pekingese will often go to sleep while being groomed.

Petting is another favorite of the Pekingese they will let the owner sit and pet them and or scratch them until the owners arms and had nearly fall off. Did someone say go? The Pekingese love to go on car rides.

They get to see new colors, new faces and places; they also get to experience new smells they have not encountered before. Pekingese seem to like having their hair cut for the summer time. Many owners do this as a precautionary measure to keep the little dogs from becoming to hot in the summer.

The Pekingese seem to love having this done. One can only imagine this all this hair is hot as well as heavy. Another owner reported that their Pekingese loved boxes. A plain old cardboard box left somewhere in the house. This owner would find their Pekingese hiding out taking naps in the cardboard box. It seemed to be the favorite place the Pekingese wanted to stay.

Now we will take a look at a few things Pekingese do not like. Most Pekingese are reported not to like cats. This has been a thing that has been passed down threw generations of dogs. However if a Pekingese is raised with a kitten while it is still a puppy it will grow to like the cat. Another thing we have discovered that Pekingese do not like is certain kinds of loud noises, lawn mowers, weed eaters, fireworks, gas powered golf carts, thunder also seems to upset the little Pekingese, these are all things that the Pekingese can hear but not necessarily see. Therefore it can and does qualify as things a Pekingese does not like. Some Pekingese do not like bathes.

You can be as gentle with them as you can possibly be, but you cannot convince some Pekingese a bath is a good thing. Pekingese also tend not to like hot weather they can withstand cooler weather much better than hot. They tend to be cranky when the temperatures get hotter. These are all just some interesting things that owners wanted to share about Pekingese.
